Valeda™ PBM — Light Therapy for Early Macular Degeneration

Killingly Eye Care now offers Valeda™ PBM, an FDA-authorized light-based therapy for early to intermediate dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Using a technology called photobiomodulation, Valeda™ PBM is a noninvasive, in-office treatment — no needles, no dilation, and no anesthesia — that takes about 10 minutes per session. In clinical study, most patients treated with Valeda™ PBM improved or maintained their vision at about two years, with many able to read several additional letters on the eye chart compared to before treatment.
